How We Brought Multi-Room Sound to a Luxury Bahamas Home

In our latest blog posts, we shared our work on a luxurious Bahamian private club, where we transformed the general manager’s home with modern smart technology.

This time, we’d like to focus on another element of the project: whole-home audio. The First Priority Team brought high-fidelity sound to every room and outdoor area of the home. With this setup, the general manager can listen along to music and podcasts wherever he roams and host guests with a lively, fun atmosphere.

Four Zones, All-In-One Control

We designed the home’s audio system to encompass four unique audio zones: the terrace, kitchen, family room, and bedroom.

Each of these speaker zones can play music separately or be synchronized across the house. Whether the homeowner is entertaining guests on the terrace or getting ready in the morning, they can curate the perfect audio atmosphere with a tap of a button.

Plus, you may be surprised to learn that this installation was a retrofit! We were able to seamlessly integrate audio wiring and speakers into the home’s existing structure, creating a clean aesthetic without tearing open the walls.

Premium Audio Equipment: Room by Room

For this project, we tailored our speaker selections to each space, matching both sound quality and style to the environment.

Terrace On-Wall Speakers: Perfect for outdoor gatherings, these weatherproof, wall-mounted speakers deliver clear, powerful sound that holds up against the elements. Coastal Source speakers are built to handle salty, ocean air—perfect for the Bahamian setting.
Kitchen Bookshelf Speakers: Compact but high-performing, these speakers provide clear, vibrant sound in the kitchen, making everyday activities more enjoyable with high-quality audio.
Family Room Soundbar: Ideal for TV entertainment, the sleek soundbar creates an immersive audio experience, perfect for movie nights and gatherings. It also syncs to the whole-home system, so the manager can play music over the soundbar as well.
Bedroom TV Audio: For a more streamlined approach in the bedroom, audio is delivered directly through the TV. With a tap on the Control4 remote or app (more on that below), the homeowner can use the TV for whole-home audio or simply watching television.

Effortless Control & Integration with Control4

All of these audio zones are unified under the home’s Control4 automation system, allowing the general manager to control every zone from one interface. The Control4 platform offers a streamlined experience where volume, playlists, and audio sources can be selected for each zone individually or synchronized across the entire home.

With such an integrated setup, the general manager has complete control, whether they’re selecting background music for the entire house or adjusting volume levels in one specific area.
