This November, we’re celebrating 20 years of business here in Fort Lauderdale, FL. 20 years! So much has changed in the world of audio, video, and smart home automation, and we’re taking this time to reflect on how far we’ve come.

To celebrate, we sat down with five team members to ask them about their experience at First Priority Audio. Everyone had their own unique responses—besides question three. All were in agreement for that answer!

Take a Look at Our Lighting Design & Smart Technology Installation

Want to discover all that’s possible in an automated home? Have a look inside Marlin Manor, the luxury smart home installation we recently completed here in South Florida. The homeowners of Marlin Manor, as we call it, had a specific vision for their home’s integrated technology. They were looking for a minimalistic aesthetic, and so much of our equipment and installation choices were guided by a minimal approach.

And the results? You’ll find a home automation system that controls every room from a single keypad, dramatically reducing wall clutter across the house. Using a Control4 home automation system, we were able to magically bring this house to life, letting the homeowner intuitively control everything from lighting to security devices—and even motorized clothing hangers!

We were so pleased with the outcome of this project that we submitted it to the 2021 CEDIA awards. Read on to discover all we included in this Lighthouse Point, FL-area home—and how the awards went!

After two decades operating in the South Florida market, we are humbled by the longstanding relationships we have established with our clients, partners and vendors. Continuing Education Lunch & Learns

As technology continues to evolve at an ever increasingly rapid rate, its important that our partners in the design/build community stay abreast of all the options and releases available to them and their clients. We are proud to have two CEDIA Certified Outreach Instructors on our team that are trained and capable of conducting continuing education courses that are accredited by the IDCEC, AIA, and NKBA. First Priority Audio, Then and Now

How the years have flown by! It’s our 20^th anniversary as an AV company in Pompano Beach, FL, and my, how much has changed in the past two decades. When we first started in the AV industry, there was no Control4, no voice control—people didn’t even own smartphones! Now, we can control our entire house with a tap on our touchscreens.

The AV and smart home industry move fast, but at this incredible milestone, we’d like to take a look back at our journey as integrators. Today we’re a staff of 27 people with nine service vehicles and an impressive portfolio of projects. But here’s how First Priority Audio began.
