What Was Old Is New Again with a Lutron Upgrade

Lighting control pioneer Lutron was founded way back in 1961. And its first whole-home lighting control system, NeTwork, was introduced in 1990.

Three decades later, that means there are a lot of outdated home lighting systems out there!

While Lutron’s hardware is long-lasting and durable, its original lighting systems were built to control incandescent and halogen bulbs. In the age of LEDs, there are so many new possibilities that you’d be missing with an older system.

That was the case for our client near Parkland, FL. Their aging Lutron system lacked modern features and performance, and its switches and keypads were noticeably clunky and discolored. Wiring can wear down in certain areas, making lights inoperable.

Here’s how we upgraded our client’s lighting system with new Palladiom keypads and a Lutron QSX processor. If you have an older lighting system, here’s why it’s totally worth updating.
