Project Spotlight: Meeting Room Technology for a Bahamas Golf Club

Bahamas-Conference Bahamas Conference Room Crestron Leon Control4

How We Created a Meeting Room That’s Easy to Use—& Easy on the Eyes

Private golf clubs are more than a course and pro shop. Beyond the green, golf clubs often include restaurants, cafés, event spaces, and meeting rooms for corporate events.

And all of these spaces need professional AV, lighting, and automation to create a modern, connected experience. That’s why the First Priority Audio team recently traveled to a private golf club in the Bahamas to help design new facilities.

The golf club’s meeting rooms needed upgrading so that visiting businesses could effectively host conference calls, presentations, and training. The club chose our Parkland, FL-based team to design and install new meeting room technology solutions that are both functional and elegant.

Let’s take a look at the project below!

Room Control by Control4

A new conference room isn’t worth it if it’s too confusing for people to use. That’s why room control systems like Control4 are so valuable.

Within one interface, users can access lighting, video displays, motorized shades, audio, and even the AC. Custom wall keypads can feature buttons like “Presentation” that, with one tap, instantly activate the perfect room settings.

Visitors to the club’s meeting rooms can now easily control all technology via Control4 through a tabletop tablet or wall keypad. The system is powerful yet intuitive for anyone to use, making it our top recommendation for controlling conference rooms.

Flexible Video Conferencing

People arrive at conference rooms expecting to be able to connect their own devices. Yet that can pose a problem—some people have PCs, some have Macs, and some are bringing just a tablet.

We designed the golf club’s conferencing system to be ‘agnostic’ to any device with USB-C connections, no matter the hardware or brand. People at the conference table can easily switch who’s presenting without any hiccups or delays.

Looking for even more ‘agnostic’ connectivity? Other options include wireless content sharing: devices that utilize Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to share personal screens to the main display.

Aesthetically-Enhanced Audio

To add protection and a touch of sophistication, we completed the room’s audio system with Leon’s Tonecase speaker cases. The Tonecase line includes luxury hardwood cases and mounting brackets for speakers and soundbars, with models specifically designed for popular Sonos speakers.

We ordered custom Tonecases to suit the meeting room’s style, bringing new elegance and style to the sound system.
