Our mission was to transform the home’s outdoor areas into a versatile environment of relaxation, capable of shifting moods and atmospheres at the homeowner's whim. The client wanted an outdoor lighting solution that not only offered the ability to create dynamic colorscapes but also adhered to environmental regulations concerning coastal wildlife.
Ketra: Elevating Outdoor Lighting
Ketra, renowned for its unparalleled ability to deliver a wide spectrum of LED lighting colors and intensities, was chosen to illuminate all covered outdoor spaces, including patios and balconies.
With Ketra, the homeowners can control the ambiance of outdoor and indoor spaces with a quick swipe on the Lutron app or with a tap on custom wall keypads. From vibrant party lights to subtle, golden hues, the Ketra lighting system can do it all.
A Commitment to Eco-Conscious Lighting
Situated against the water, this property falls within a zone subject to strict lighting regulations to protect local turtle populations. Certain color temperatures attract turtles to residential properties, where turtles mistakenly lay their eggs far from the ocean, posing risks to their survival.
While Ketra lighting is not officially approved by the Florida Wildlife Conservation, the temperature and quality of light it emits are considered turtle-friendly, aligning with the necessary criteria to prevent disruption to these marine creatures. Our installation ensured that the allure of advanced lighting technology did not come at the cost of the local ecosystem's safety.
