Take Your Movie Nights Outside All Year Long

We’re lucky to live with beautiful weather from January to December here in Lighthouse Point, FL. So shouldn’t we make the most of the Florida sun and spend more time on our patios or by the pool? Unfortunately, most of us spend our evenings indoors with Netflix, Hulu, or the game on.

Outdoor TVs are changing that. We no longer have to stay cooped up inside on beautiful evenings with a weatherproof screen like Samsung’s The Terrace. The Terrace was first introduced in 2020 with several models for partial shade use. New in 2021 is the 75-inch model that boosts brightness for full-sun visibility.

Is an outdoor TV worth it? We’ll share all you need to know about The Terrace below so you can decide for yourself.

Completely Weatherproof & Waterproof

You don’t need a canopy, roof, or cover to protect your Samsung outdoor TV. In fact, you won’t need to worry about protecting it at all. The display is built durable enough to resist water, dust, heat, cold—anything mother nature has in store. Its IP55 rating ensures it’s completely waterproof, so it will be fine mounted outside through rain showers.

Brighter Screen at 2,000 Nits

Screens and sunshine usually don’t mix because glare dilutes colors and makes it hard to see. Just like shining a flashlight during the day doesn’t do any good, if a TV isn’t bright enough, you won’t be able to see it clearly.

The Terrace combats glare with its ultra-bright screen at 2,000 nits. What’s a nit? It’s a measurement of brightness, and most indoor screens only display about 500 nits. That makes The Terrace four times brighter! So even during the day, you can enjoy shows and movies on the hammock, at the grill, or on your porch.

Adaptive Picture in 4K

The Terrace lets users enjoy Samsung’s stunning QLED 4K technology that they might already be familiar with. Its 4K upscaling technology automatically reduces image noise and restores lost details in non-4K videos.

But any video, even at 4K, needs special treatment outdoors. The anti-reflective screen also adapts to the surrounding light conditions. If it’s a bright day, the display automatically optimizes the picture to look more radiant. As the clouds cover the sun, The Terrace will adjust to look its best.

Pair with an Outdoor Soundbar or Speaker System

Home theater sound doesn’t have to stay indoors either! Samsung manufactures The Terrace outdoor soundbar with a center speaker and subwoofer. But if you’d like to bring sound across the lawn, an outdoor audio system by Coastal Source or Origin Acoustics delivers high-end audio to all your outdoor spaces. Burial subwoofers, satellite speakers, and three-way bollards will transform your property into a sports stadium, backyard concert, or drive-in movie theater.
